How to Measure a Tab Washer

You don’t need a Vernier calliper to identify the size of an MB tab washer; a standard ruler is usually accurate enough.

Measure the Bore (inside diameter) of the Tab Washer in millimetres, then divide the measurement by 5. The result gives you the MB size.

For example:

• 50 mm bore ÷ 5 = 10 - MB10 Tab Washer

• 30 mm bore ÷ 5 = 6 -  MB6 Tab Washer

In simple terms: Bore diameter (mm) ÷ 5 = MB size

For the most accurate result, measure directly across the centre of the Bore.
